November 11, 2022: #7 & #99 are both ‘Hunters Sharing the Harvest’179 viewsFrom the Hunters Sharing the Harvest organization’s Facebook page:
“Yesterday we kicked off what promises to be another outstanding season of venison donations across the Commonwealth.
We were joined at Collier Sportsmen’s Association by many of our volunteers, partners and supporters, including very special guests, two-time Super Bowl champs and retired Pittsburgh Steelers, Ben Roethlisberger – BigBen7.com and Brett Keisel, who spoke about their own donations of deer to our program and what the HSH mission means to them.
HSH executive director Randy Ferguson, retired executive director John Plowman and HSH board members were joined by key agency partners Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture and the Pennsylvania Game Commission, as well as Hunger-Free Pennsylvania representing the Commonwealth’s food distribution network.
As the firearms deer season approaches, make sure you fill all those additional tags and please consider sharing your extra deer with Pennsylvania’s food-insecure this season!â€

July 22, 2020 - Trucks for Hope Campaign - New Castle291 views“We want to help the community, this is my wife’s community, where she grew up in New Castle. We did one a few weeks ago at Heinz Field, so to be here in New Castle to help the community, it’s a way we can show our kids and the next generation it’s about love and helping others. It shouldn’t be about us. The more we can do, the happier we are.†— Ben.

July 22, 2020 - Trucks for Hope Campaign - New Castle293 viewsAshley helps load boxes of food into the vehicles of those in need.
“They have such a need here. Convoy of Hope, and all of the partners who are working together, can go to these smaller communities and provide more meals. There has always been a need to reach out and help. There have always been people who are struggling and in need of food and especially during these times, people who have normally been okay have found themselves in difficult situations. It was a blessing that the people in Pittsburgh have focused on what the needs in the city are and how we can meet them. We’re thankful for Convoy of Hope because that is their mission, to feed the hungry and clothe the naked. We’re just happy to be able to partner with them to feed families in need, the people who wouldn’t normally go to food banks or have those same connections can still go to these distributions and be fed through alternative ways. We are just happy to be able to help do that.†— Ashley.
