October 11, 2013 - Steelers Style Fashion Show3738 viewsThe show started off with a bang, with the University of Pittsburgh dance team and cheerleaders and the Pittsburgh Steeline setting the stage and firing up the crowd. It was then all about the players as they hit the runway, many with their kids, in their jerseys dancing and having fun to their own musical selections. Among the choices were Ben Roethlisberger and his son Ben to “Just the Two of Us,†by Will Smith, Shaun Suisham to his country’s National Anthem “O Canada,†and Bruce Gradkowski and daughter Liliana to the Temptations “My Girl.â€

"Even though he’s been in his 'big boy' bed for months now, Bodie was having a seriously hard time with Dad 'breaking' his crib yesterday! I think Mom was crying just as hard taking the picture! — Ben.
Hey Bodie, it’s okay buddy! Big boy beds are way better, you’ll see! And we sure do love the cool tributes to both of your grandpas college baseball careers on your wall (Pops’ at Georgia Tech and Pappy’s at Nyack)!!

Ben at the South Fayette School District, May 2, 20072006 viewsBig Ben was the star attraction at a pep rally Wednesday morning in McDonald at the South Fayette School District.
The quarterback's visit was the result of hard work by students, who sold thousands of bottles of Big Ben's Barbeque Sauce. All of the proceeds were split between the South Fayette Athletic Club and the Ronald McDonald House.
"They did a fundraiser that is going to help their school and a great cause -- the Ronald McDonald House -- a cause I put a lot of time and effort into, so I am glad they were able to do such a great job," said Roethlisberger.
"This is so exciting," said Superintendent Dr. Linda Hippert. "We know he is a great role model for our students, and they watch him on TV."
"I think about when I was in high school," said Roethlisberger. "If someone came back to speak, what did I want to hear and not want to hear?"
Students who sold the most sauce got their pictures taken with Roethlisberger, who was sporting a South Fayette Green ball cap.
"It used to surprise me, it doesn't surprise me anymore," said Roethlisberger. "Steeler fans, like I have said numerous times, are the best."
The students raised more than $6,800, which is roughly 4,166 bottles of barbeque sauce.
