The "prettiest ornament" on the tree!785 viewsAnd this is Mary's shoe...or rather Ben's shoe! Mary was one of Ben's Birthday Wishes drawing winners back in September of 2011. She decided her autographed shoe from Ben needed to take center stage on her Steelers tree!
You can see Mary posing with her shoe here:

"Shadow" - Findlay Ohio Police Department1405 viewsNovember 19, 2012:
The Findlay Police Department's latest tool for sniffing out drugs, Shadow, doubles as another way for officers to connect with city residents.
Paid for entirely by a grant from the Ben Roethlisberger Foundation, Shadow recently joined the department as its drug-detecting canine. Shadow and his handler, Officer Chad McMonigal, inspect vehicles for illegal drugs, and meet citizens in an effort to prevent crime.
Shadow, a 15-month-old male service dog from the country of Holland, replaces Spike, who retired from the department on Sept. 1. McMonigal and Shadow trained together in Fremont for six weeks in September and October.
He's a friendly animal who enjoys attention, McMonigal said.
"Every dog there had different drives, characteristic traits," McMonigal said.
McMonigal described Shadow as the "perfect tool" for both drug work and bridging the divide with those who feel reluctant to meet police.
"They see he's so welcoming and it changes their attitude right away," he said.

November 18, 2018: Steelers vs Jaguars533 views“You just grow when you are faced with adversity like this in a hostile environment and you are not playing great and you find ways to get it done. From that standpoint really excited. We have some lessons to learn. You tip your cap to that group, particularly their defense. We got a big play and that got us back into it. I also tip the cap to our defense. They were put in some tough situations. They were out there a lot of snaps. They didn’t blink. They held the fort until our offense got going. Then with No. 7 you have a chance.†— Coach Tomlin.
Final score: Steelers 20, Jaguars 16

January 8, 2012 - The Archery Trade Association Show1046 viewsBen also took a few moments to answer questions from Archery Time‘s Matt Coffey:
Why do you like coming to the ATA?
This is my third year (at the ATA Trade Show) and we’re hoping to bring it to Pittsburgh so it’s a little closer for us. I’ve met some good friends through Bowtech and have developed even more friendships through (archery). I enjoy coming here because I love hunting, that’s the main reason. To come here and see the new things coming out and to see friends I don’t get to see except for this time of year is excellent.
How do you find time to hunt during football season?
We usually get one or two days off a week – or at least half days – so I usually get out quite a bit. Now that the (football) season’s over, I’ve been out the last five or six days. I get out as much as I can, trust me.
How did last deer season end up for you?
We’re doing a lot of herd management and killing a lot of does and we’ve taken a couple nice bucks off my parents’ property. Overall, the turkeys and deer have been great.
*Thank you Matt and Archery Time!! Check 'em out: http://www.archerytime.com/
