Steeler Nation, Georgia Style974 views"I am from Douglasville Ga. I get a new ornament every year to add to the tree. I also keep it up until the season is over with. Yes, I kept it up until the Superbowl a few years back. What can I say...I am superstitious." -- Crystal Wizner

Training Camp - August, 2013711 viewsBen walks out onto the practice field with his friend, Noah Galloway.
"So honored and blessed to have my good friend Noah at training camp these last couple days! It was great to spend some time and talk and share stories with Noah. He spoke to the team tonight and it was awesome – everyone really enjoyed it. We are so blessed to play a game that we love and we owe all the troops all over the world a huge thank you for all your service." –- Ben
As regular readers already know, Noah is no stranger to Ben’s website!
Noah first shared his story with the website in 2012:
http://bigben7.com/new-fan-photo/
He had his photo taken with Ben after the two met in the airport in March of 2012 and shared it on Twitter:
“It’s a great feeling when Roethlisberger introduces himself to you and thanks you for your service. Great guy! It was incredible to have him come up to me…I really appreciated it!â€
Noah had just completed the White Sands Missile Range 23rd Annual Bataan Memorial Death March in New Mexico, and was on his way home to Alabama when he met Ben in the airport. Noah and his team, TEAM X-T.R.E.M.E completed the 26.2 mile march wearing 47lb packs and gas masks.
His photo with Ben was also featured as the website’s Photo of the Week in November during Veterans Day week to coincide with Ben’s Salute to our Troops tribute!

Spending time at Dad's alma mater!521 viewsBig Ben and his family took a trip to Georgia Tech to show Benjamin Jr. where his grandpa Ken played his college ball. While they were there, Ben stopped to pose with two of GT's best football players, Corey Dennis and Sean Tobin.
Sean sent the photo to his aunt, Edy Castronovo (whose family is part of Steeler Nation New Jersey), who said that not only was Sean very excited to meet Ben, but he also said it was an "incredible privilege to meet one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time."
Sean also wanted to add:
"It was great to meet Ben, he's a stand up guy. Was really fun guy to be around and spoke to a couple of us for quite some time, he threw some motivation at us and was telling us to enjoy the offseason, take advantage of it cause your opponent is getting better. Thanks again Ben!"
Just a few of the tweets about Ben's visit to Georgia Tech:
@steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger dropped by yesterday. His dad Ken was backup QB & pitcher at #GaTech in mid-70's -- Georgia Tech Sports @GTAthletics
Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger just visited to our football offices with his family. Really nice guy. Down to earth. Father is a GT alum. -- Ryan Bamford @GTbammer24 (Ryan is a Senior Associate AD at Georgia Tech)
Ben Roethlisberger came by GT today. Dude is huge in person, no wonder why defenders struggle to get him down! -- Brandon Oliver @B_Oliver82
