August 21st - Pre-season @ Giants1909 views“ I think that getting back on the field and getting back to playing, obviously he’s got his suspension coming up in the regular season, but we came out the same year out of college, been watching his career, he’s been a great player, couple Super Bowls to his name. So glad to see he’ll be there playing and I’ll be rooting for him in his return back to football.†-- Eli Manning.

February 27, 2011 in Norman, OK1908 views7-year old Cooper and his big brother, 11-year old Brett had the opportunity to meet Ben in Norman, Oklahoma on Sunday, February 27th.
Ben was in town to attend sister Carlee's games as her Oklahoma Sooners finish out final home games of the season.
According to the boys' grandmother, Cheryl Kent, Cooper is a "huge" Ben fan as well as a big Steelers fan and has been since he was 3-years old. "He knows everything there is to know about Ben," said Cheryl. "He can even give you details about the Super Bowl when they beat Arizona, he was 5 at the time."
Cooper wears his Big Ben jersey and carries his football to every OU Women's Basketball game in hopes that he will see Ben! As Cheryl put it, on Sunday "luck was on our side, he was there!"
Cheryl snapped a photo of her grandsons with Ben after the game.
"Ben was so kind to autograph Cooper's football and meet the boys after the game! His small act of kindness made a little fan the happiest little boy in the world. I am so impressed at how nice Ben was and how he went out of his way for these two little boys."
*Thank you so much to Cheryl for sharing the photo and story!

April 25, 2015 - Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for Dauch Indoor Stadium & Ben Roethlisberger Field1908 viewsDiane Daily got her wish, a photo with her favorite player!
"It was such an awesome day! Getting to meet Ben was more of a thrill than I can express. He was so nice to everyone and didn't seem to mind so many wanting a picture and autograph. He even signed my Terrible Towel. Getting to attend a Steeler game at Heinz Field is on my bucket list but of that doesn't happen, I've experienced the next best thing, meeting Ben. Being part of his website has made my day!!" -- Diane
*Thank you Diane!

Ben's Foundation at work1906 viewsFrom an article on February 23, 2011 at KTAR News in Phoenix:
The Phoenix Fire Department's urban search and rescue team will not go to New Zealand to help with earthquake recovery, but the team still spent Wednesday morning training its search dogs to deal with disasters.
A firefighter was lowered into a hole under concrete rubble in Tempe and it was up to a black lab named Big Ben -- after Pittsburgh Steelers' quarterback Ben Roethlisberger -- to find the trapped man.
"Ben Roethlisberger actually donated dog food for a year and 15 annual physicals for our dogs," said Fire Capt. John Dean.
He noted Big Ben found his man in a matter of seconds, while it could have taken firefighters minutes or hours.
"Even with all the technology we have -- and we embrace it, we're always looking for new ideas and new things -- you just can't beat that dog and their nose, and they're nice to have around, too."
