Fall, 2013 - Irons Mill Farmstead supports the Ben Roethlisberger Foundation1231 viewsBeginning September 21st, The Milliron Family not only welcomied in the season, but also supported the Ben Roethlisberger Foundation at the same time!
“This year we decided to make our corn maze design STEELERS! In doing so, we like to choose a relevant organization to work with to offer a fundraising opportunity. We chose the Ben Roethlisberger Foundation as a way to show our appreciation to those men and women in our police and fire depts. who risk their lives to serve and protect us. Our family is thankful for the incredible sacrifices they make each and every day. As a family farm, we know the important role animals play in all of our lives. It is so neat to see how the unique talents of animals can be utilized for such amazing things! We love the fact that we can support the men and women who rely on highly trained animals for support and protection.†– Stacy Milliron
The Farmstead offered discount coupons to fans on admission with portions of the proceeds benefiting Ben's foundation!

Ben gains a new fan1223 views…and her name is Zena!
Zena is a 1-year old Rottweiler and is in training to be a search dog with Ohio Disaster Search Dogs & the Bellbrook Fire Department, which is just northeast of Cincinnati.
The Ben Roethlisberger Foundation distributed a grant to the Bellbrook Fire Department earlier this month that will not only help train four K-9 teams, but will assist with updating the aging Vectren Bellbrook Fire Department Search and Rescue Canine Agility Site, managed by the organization, Ohio Disaster Search Dogs. In the past 10 years, the site has hosted K-9 teams from across the nation to provide integral training and practice.
“Grant funding will ensure out agility training site continues to be available to enhance training programs of these local and national assets,†said Captain Athena Haus of the Bellbrook Fire Department.
Zena wanted to don her new #7 jersey to show Ben just how much she and the other K9 teams appreciated the grant, which will allow them to train to become the best at what they do!
*Thank you to Captain Haus and the Bellbrook Fire Department….and of course, Zena!
