Ben Roethlisberger reaches out1583 viewsBen spent some time over the weekend of May 18-20th, 2007 talking to local children about the dangers of drugs at an event called "The Alliance".
He spent two hours at the event, talking to the kids and giving out awards.
Words from Ben:
"Luckily, I've never lost any friends because of [drugs]. I do know a lot of people that have done it and cleaned up their act because they've seen the negative effects of it."
As to being around drugs:
"I don't put myself in that situation. If there is something there, wherever it is, I don't go - I leave right away. It 's not just something [where] I'm going to get myself in that situation. Because I don't feel that is being a 'right' role model whether I'm doing it or not, being there if there are drugs there!" (1 votes)
