Ben with a two-day old calf, which he named Benita1151 viewsAccording to ESPN writer David Fleming, who accompanied Ben on his trip:
"[Ben] was also asked to name a brown and white female calf that had been born on the farm two days earlier. Ben ignored my suggestion of 'Cow-her' and went with 'Benita', showing just slightly more innovation that the Steelers' 2006 offensive playbook".

January 12, 20112670 viewsOn December 30th, Ben announced the ninth and final grant of the 2010 season outside of the Pittsburgh area. The grant was awarded to the Cuyahoga Metropolitan Housing Authority Police Department (CMHAPD), located in Cleveland, Ohio. The Cuyahoga Metropolitan Housing Authority Police Department will use the grant to purchase much needed detection training supplies and protection equipment for their K-9 unit. The funds will help fill a void in the department left by the loss of Kubo, CMHA’s three-year old police dog, who died on September 27, 2010 during a training exercise.
Shown in the photo: Officer John Smiddy with Chewbacca and Officer Jeffery Holdeman with Loki. They are posing with CMHA's Marketing Manager, Courtney Kilbury.

May, 2011 - Get your grill on! 1039 viewsRebecca Miller of PA, didn't have a grill, so she picked up her paintbrush (which also makes a wonderful baster) and painted her favorite summer meal on canvas, wearing her favorite player's jersey. Of course, the ribs were painted with special Big Ben's BBQ Sauce paint for a touch of "realism". (4 votes)

April 5, 2008 - Second Annual Ben Roethlisberger Challenge1885 viewsPhoto & Story by Trish:
Just returned from Ben's basketball game in Findlay. He was joined by Brett Keisel and Nate Washington. It was a GREAT game. Ben broke his own scoring record that he set last year..I want to say he scored 47 points- the last basket was made w/seconds to go..and it broke the record from last year..crowd went WILD! He waited to shoot until time was almost out..and scored the last bucket.
Keisel had his usual slamdunk-but missed..but he did well throughout the game. Ben played the entire game. He was so fun to watch..very good ball player.
Washington was a riot..great player..and great entertainer.
