Matt Sharpe @daringsharpe
Posted a @steelers piece earlier and it got me thinking…man, I miss this guy. It’s so strange seeing the black and yellow suit up each sunday without 7 under center.
Prayers up for a full and speedy recovery for @_BigBen7 heading into 2020!

Fichtner and Rudolph talk Roethlisberger
“He’s been wanting to help everybody. I think any communication that they could possibly be having could only help a young quarterback at any one given time. So, it’s a blessing still to have him be around, and be capable to do that”. — Randy Fichtner.
From our friends at Steelers Depot:
Rudolph talked a bit after the Dolphins game about how Roethlisberger has been of service to him since taking over the quarterback position, even seemingly expressing surprise over just how helpful he has been. He talked about his relationship with the veteran quarterback more with reporters yesterday.
“We have a process of what takes place when you come off of the field”, he outlined, via a transcript provided by the team’s media department. “Gathering information from the tablets, talking to Randy, receivers, running backs, whatever there may be…It’s a big advantage having a veteran quarterback in your corner looking to help you out any chance he gets. So I try to take advantage of that”.
Rudolph has talked about actively seeking out Roethlisberger for his guidance, and also how Roethlisberger volunteers things that he picks up while watching the game. He’ll pull him aside and show him something that he saw on the tablet, and what he might do in that situation.
While he, for some reason, got a good amount of grief for not traveling with the team when they were out west against the Chargers, Roethlisberger has been a visible and active presence on the sidelines in the game since his surgery, looking like the bionic man out there.
There is every reason to think that will continue to be the case over the next two games at least during this three-game homestand. That is what we actually get to see, of course. We don’t see the work that he puts in with the offense and with Rudolph over the course of the week.

It’s a Halloween Throwback Thursday!

Happy Halloween Steeler Nation, from our little monkey! — Ben & Ashley
My son has been wearing his Elmo costume…he’s going to be 2 years old next month, so he’s wearing his Elmo costume and he’s been wearing it all over the house, so we’re trying to get it off of him and tell him he’s not allowed to wear it until actual Halloween! — Ben, during his interview with Mark Madden.

This is how it works Baylee – I’m older so I get to divide the candy: I get the M&M’s, the Snickers, and the Twix bars. You can have the Milky Way bars…no, you can have one Milky Way bar, I’ll uh, hold on to the rest for safekeeping. — Benjamin, Jr.

All I have to do is pretend to be posing nicely for the camera and then reachhhh out and grab just this one bag of M&M’s…— Baylee.

Mommy said I could wear my Elmo costume to bed!!! YESSSSSS!!!!” — Benjamin, Jr.
Wait! What the…what happened to all that yummy candy? I look up and smile for one photo and now it’s all gone?!! — Baylee.

“I have to admit, I AM totally rockin’ the baby bunny look!!!” — Baylee

Should I go trick or treating as my favorite comic book super hero, Spiderman or should I go as Olaf the Snowman from one of my favorite movies, “Frozen”?
Can you email Miss Erin at bigben7website@gmail.com and let her know which one you’d choose? (She’s a lot better at counting that high).

Bensday – Halloween Eve Edition

This Halloween my son Beckett said he wanted to be a football player. He was just planning on wearing his team uniform. Beckett is 7 years old & plays football for the Peters Twp. Termites team.
However, on October 3rd he had to be taken by ambulance to CHP because he broke 2 bones in his arm during football practice. He said that the worst thing about the broken arm is that he “couldn’t play football”.
About a week post-break, Beckett said he still wanted to be a football player for Halloween…he wanted to be Big Ben. He’s now just a little dude on the sidelines, he has a huge heart & was adamant about being Big Ben! — Hilary Clark.
The Joker, King Tut, Freddy Krueger, Steve Urkel, a giant red crayon and…Big Ben?
