Sunday Funday in Findlay

and all for a great cause!

A crowd of 2,000 came out to watch Big Ben and friends play a game of softball for the benefit of both the Ben Roethlisberger Foundation and the Findlay Athletics Department, and they weren’t disappointed!

“Incredible giving back by Ben Roethlisberger at today’s Charity softball game. Great number of Steeler greats here today!” — Jerry Snodgrass.

The two teams were made up of Ben’s Steelers teammates & friends and Findlay community leaders & officials. Ready to batter up with Big Ben was Brett Keisel, Cam Heyward, JuJu Smith-Schuster, Marcus Gilbert, Al Villaneuava, David DeCastro, Ramon Foster and Maurkice Pouncey.

“Ben Roethlisberger talking to people in the middle of the game while he’s mic’d up. He just talked to a boy in the stands, asked him if he was having fun. Light hearted game, fans seem to be enjoying themselves.”— Cameron Fields, Toledo News.

Made the trip to @FindlayHS to see Ben Roethlisberger and some of his @steelers teammates play in a celebrity softball game with donations going to his foundation (that majorly supports K9 programs 🐶) Big Ben is ECSTATIC!

Officer Atkins and his K9 partner Deke keep a watchful eye under cloudy skies for the start of the game.

And it sure didn’t take long for the game to turn into a homerun derby!!

It’s a Lil’ Fan Friday!

A 5-year old fan from Rhode Island misses seeing her QB on television so much that she drew a picture of him to hang in her room!

Addison Costa and her whole family are BIG fans of Big Ben & the Steelers, and the 2018 NFL season can’t come soon enough! But until it arrives, she drew her very own picture of Ben to help her get through the summer!

We can definitely see the likeness! Great job, Addison!

“Thank you Ben!”

“My friend Jim and I were at the UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex for the Pens practice in May. We were standing in the parking lot talking and a gentleman approached us and stated that Ben was here, working out in the upstairs gym. We went inside and checked it out. Jim and I were both lucky to have something on us at the time for Ben to sign if we found him.

Ben walked out towards the exit and he was on the phone, I approached him and asked if he would mind signing my jersey and my friends photo. He signed both items for us! He could have kept on walking but he was nice enough to stop. We were both in complete disbelief that we actually got the chance to see Ben, let alone have him sign an autograph!!

Ben, I just wanted to personally thank you for stopping and signing my jersey and my friends photo yesterday. We both appreciate it, wishing you the best this season and into the future!” — Mike Slagle.

Mike, thank you for sharing your story & photos with us!
