“A challenge worth taking”

The Keisel/Armstrong Challenge:

020719

During the 11th annual WDVE Rocks Children’s Radiothon, Brett Keisel and Colby Armstrong had a friendly challenge to see who could raise more funds for Children’s Hospital during the Pens hour broadcast. Brett put in a good fight, but — unfortunately for him — Colby came out on top, meaning Brett went through a series of hockey skills and drills on the ice which you can watch right here.

Wait! What was #7 doing there you ask? Click on the link to watch the video and find out!

While you’re there, you can also enter for a chance to win autographed hockey sticks or autographed jerseys used by the guys during DaBeard’s big day on the Da Ice! All proceeds benefit Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh Foundation.

You can follow Brett’s news & events here!

Hey Steeler Nation Dads (and Moms)…

Imagine spending Father’s Day with your youngster(s) watching them learn fundamental football skills from the best in the business at the Steelers practice facility!!

I know, I know, it’s only February – but before you know it hot weather will be here, and so will the chance for your future NFL stars to not only get in some serious football practice, but to catch a pass from Big Ben too!

And that’s not all!

Before the day ends, each camper will receive a souvenir autograph from Ben and receive a team photo with him.

The Ben Roethlisberger Football Camp will be returning to the UPMC Rooney Sports Complex on Sunday, June 16th!

#7 will be on-site to direct the event (as well as be the big guy you see running around the facility all day working with each group) and will be joined by a selection of prep and college coaches from the area. The event is open to boys and girls of all skill levels in grades 1-8. Proceeds benefit the Ben Roethlisberger Foundation.

Registration and more information is available at BenRoethlisbergerCamp.com.

So you’re still not sure that THIS is the way you want to spend your Father’s Day Sunday? Well then, let’s see if our parents & grandparents at last year’s camp can convince you, starting with dad Big Ben himself (and photographer Matt Freed):

Check out this fun video shared by parent Eileen Mess:

The camp parents were ON the [foot]ball all day with their tweets, photographs & videos throughout Ben’s camp:

The greatest fanbase in the world

…doing really great things for their community!

“We have been a fan club here in York, PA for over 25 years. We have been able to give over $65,000 to local charities during this time. Because of Ben’s donations to K-9 units all over the country, we thought it would be great to do the same. This year we were able to give a check to the York County Sheriff’s K-9 unit.” — Linda Baugher, Steelers Fan Club of York.

And from #7 himself:

I want to thank Linda and the Steelers Fan Club of York, PA for honoring my foundation work with their generous contribution to their local Police K9 Unit. What an awesome thing to do! — Ben.

Linda, thank you for sharing these great photos with us!

Steeler Nation: You can donate to Ben’s foundation any time of the year and we truly thank you for whatever you can give!
