Something #DIFFERENT to start off your weekend

Big Ben with Micah Tyler & MercyMe at the PPG Paints Arena tonight!

“There are just a few weeks left for you to get your DIFFERENT shirts. With every shirt you buy, Ben and I will provide TWO meals for someone in need in partnership with Light of Life in Pittsburgh, PA. Head on over to thedifferentshirt.com and join the team TODAY before time runs out!” — Micah.

Order yours before they’re gone!

SATURDAY UPDATE:

“I will NEVER forget last night in Pittsburgh! I was joined on stage at our show by my buddy #BigBen Roethlisberger and we closed out the Different shirt campaign with an absolute bang. All season long Ben and I have been partnering with @lightoflife Rescue Mission to provide meals for the homeless citizens of Pittsburgh, selling special edition Black & Yellow Steelers shirts and providing 2 meals on each sale. Last night, with 500 shirts left we challenged the INCREDIBLE crowd in @ppgpaintsarena to get us over the 10,000 meal range and they SHOWED UP!
Big thanks to Ben, his wife, Ashley, and their family for partnering with my family to make an impact on the city by helping an amazing ministry help so many others! #herewego— Micah.

Lil’ Fan Friday

Gee, sorry mom. But Big Ben IS a sweetheart!!

Steffan R.P. Colbert @Steffan_Colbert
Most moms get a sweet Valentine from their son. This mom got a sweet Valentine for @_BigBen7 😂! To say my sweet boy loves his @steelers is an understatement! He might not be accepting the retirement just yet, Big Ben! #SteelersNation #ValentinesDay2022

New Fan Alert!!

“I don’t care if Mr. Ben is retired, he’s STILL my favorite player!!” — Winnie (who could probably fit in Ben’s shoe).

*And you may be wondering, “Where did such a new fan get all that autographed Ben stuff?” It’s actually just ‘on loan’ from her Aunt Taylor!

And a #ThrowbackThursday on a Friday? Absolutely!

“With Big Ben hanging up the cleats this year, it feels right to share this picture again. 13 years ago, we were at Pizza Hut celebrating Abigail’s 6th birthday. Ben was just a couple weeks removed from his second Super Bowl win over AZ. He was kind enough to take the time to say hello to our family and get a picture with the birthday girl.” — Jon Kura.

And from Abigail:

“I’m a worship leader at my church, so one thing I’ve always admired most about Ben from the time I was a little girl to now is his heart for Jesus and how he shows that on and off the field. He leads well and sets an example. Ben will be greatly honored for that. Even though meeting him in that pizza shop was a very long time ago, I’ll never forget how kind and genuine he was.” — Abigail Kura.

Thank you for sharing with us.

Enjoy your weekend Steelers Nation!

It’s Bensday!

Artist Jeff Echevarria wanted to share his beautiful tribute to Big Ben:

“When there are doubters, it always fuels the fire a little bit. When people say you can’t do something if you are a competitor, that drives you.” — Ben Roethlisberger.

Thank you #7 for Everything you’ve brought to Pittsburgh! Big Big love to you and your family!

Ben has to wait 5 years to go into the HOF

…but his jersey didn’t, grass stains and all!!

From the Pro Football Hall of Fame website today:

“The 2021 season was Ben Roethlisberger’s final one of his career. He started in 16 games while throwing for 3,740 yards and 22 touchdowns and led the Pittsburgh Steelers to a playoff berth. He moved into fifth all-time in career passing yards (64,088) trailing only Tom Brady, Drew Brees and Hall of Famers Peyton Manning and Brett Favre.

Roethlisberger’s jersey from Week 18 when he played in his final regular-season game is now on display in the Pro Football Today Gallery.

During the game on Jan. 9, the Pittsburgh Steelers defeated the Baltimore Ravens in overtime (16-13) to clinch their playoff spot. Roethlisberger threw for 244 yards and one touchdown.”
