One camper can’t wait…
for the Ben Roethlisberger Football Camp to get here! He’s not only a life-long Steelers fan, but a return camper as well. His grandmother, Cathy, shared these photos with us:

“When Aden Satterfield was just 6 months old he had his jersey signed by Mr. Dan Rooney.”

“Aden proudly wears a #7 jersey from Ben’s college playing (and winning) days as a Miami RedHawk.”

“Last year he had an amazing time at Ben’s camp, and he’s looking forward to camp again this year. In fact, his sister Addy will be participating too! Thank you for this Ben!” — Cathy Satterfield.
Want to join Aden and Addy?
The Ben Roethlisberger Football Camp will be in session for two days next month at Bethel Park High School (309 Church Road, Bethel Park, PA) and spots are filling up fast now! Don’t be left out.
Stop by the ProCamps website this weekend and sign your child up with our special promotional code, BigBen7.
The Camp, sponsored by SunnyD, is open to boys and girls, grades 1 through 8, and Ben will be joined by a selection of the top prep and college coaches from the area.
Each day, campers will experience various stations, specializing in fundamental skills of football.
Individual groups will be small to assure that each camper gets maximum instruction.
Group rates are available for your team, school, or group of friends! For more information, please contact Alex at aland@procamps.com.
Ben will give daily talks highlighting the finer points of the game of football and beyond, as well as be on the field EVERYWHERE helping coaches, helping your child, and throwing those passes. Parents and guests will be able to listen to camp guests in designated areas at each location.

Fan Kevin J. Cousino does it again!
In March, Kevin (KJC Custom Sports Figures) made an incredible 3-figure “Big Ben – Threw the Years” display for the man himself (Yes, “threw” the years!).
Now he’s created a special piece as a tribute to all the work Ben does with his foundation:

“In honor of Big Ben and The Ben Roethlisberger Foundation: Ben with a German Shephard K9 officer! Thank you for what you do Ben!!” — Kevin.
You can see a larger, close-up version of the collage here.
*Thank you so much for sharing with us again, Kevin!
And check out this Lil’ Fan:

Young Isaiah Raciti decided that he just can’t wait for the season to start to wear his #7 jersey, so it has become his Spring attire! His mom Murielle is wondering if she’ll be able to get it off of him long enough to put it in the washer?!
*Thank you for the photos, Murielle (and good luck)!
Ben looks ahead
“It’s tough to lose Heath Miller, a guy I think everyone knows is a great friend and one of my favorite, best teammates of all time and a comfort, security blanket for me. It’s going to be tough. It’s not going to feel right going to training camp, or OTAs or minicamps and him not being there. I haven’t quite wrapped my head around what it’s going to be like not having him.
“We have guys that are going to step up. I know Sammie Coates is working his tail off, and really did some good stuff in that playoff game (at Denver). Markus Wheaton has gotten better. We know what we get from A.B. and we hope that there will be maybe a young guy, an Eli (Rodgers), someone that will step up.”
From his interview with Mike Prisuta at Steelers.com:
Moving on without Heath Miller is going to take some getting used to for Ben Roethlisberger. Free-agent addition Ladarius Green has already been penciled in to replace Miller.
And Roethlisberger likes what he’s heard regarding the Steelers’ new tight end.
“We’ve talked, we’ve communicated,” he said. “I know some guys for the Chargers that have told me that he’s a really good player and a guy that has more speed at tight end than I’ve ever seen. I’m just excited because I know he’s excited to help us. He wants to win and wants to win right now.”
Roethlisberger and the Steelers won’t exactly be starting over when OTAs commence this month, he said.
But nor should they perceive themselves as a team that was almost good enough to win the Super Bowl last season based on their near-miss in Denver in the postseason.
“You can’t look at the ‘what ifs?’ in football because there’s too many of them,” he said. “We have a good group that’s coming back, a lot of guys coming back, so we’re not really starting from scratch but we’re starting kind of where we always do.”
As for how long he intends to play, “I feel good,” Roethlisberger said. “I feel healthy. Thanks to the guys around me we’ve been playing pretty well. I turned 34 in March. I’m going to play the season at 34 and I’ll be all right.
“Everyone has a different mentality and mindset on […]
What’s better on a Spring day…
than a little tackle football with Dad?
