Ben: ‘We play for the fans’
Steelers to say ‘Thank You Fans’ on Sunday with prizes and giveaways before and during the game. Arrive early and be ready for the huge AFC North showdown.
“We enjoy calling Heinz Field home. We have the best fans in all of football. We love it when they get loud, and rowdy and make it hard on the other team. We look forward to having another one of those type of games this week.” — Ben.
From Teresa Varley, Steelers.com today:
The AFC North title will be on the line Sunday night when the Steelers host the Cincinnati Bengals at Heinz Field, and the atmosphere will be electric.
Steelers’ fans are encouraged to arrive early for the 8:30 p.m. kickoff, and wave their Terrible Towels at kickoff when a nationwide audience will be watching, showing the world why Steelers fans are the best.
The support of Steelers’ fans all throughout the year is a huge boost to the players and coaches, and on Sunday night the organization is showing their appreciation for fans as it’s the ‘Thank You Fans’ game.
The first 5,000 fans to arrive will receive a Steelers Nation Unite Terrible Towel, and all 65,000 in attendance will receive a special ‘Thank You Fans’ scratch off ticket where they can win a variety of prizes.
In addition, throughout the game fans will be selected to win prizes that range from in-stadium food and beverage to Heinz Field concert tickets and one lucky winner will take home a 55” inch flat screen television.
So, arrive early and be ready to cheer on the Steelers as they battle for the AFC North title.

Five Steelers Selected to the 2015 Pro Bowl Squad, including #7!
From Steelers.com this evening:
Steelers running back Le’Veon Bell, wide receiver Antonio Brown, center Maurkice Pouncey, quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, linebacker Lawrence Timmons have been selected to the 2015 Pro Bowl team, announced tonight by the NFL. The Steelers are sending multiple players to the Pro Bowl for the 14th straight season and for the 23rd time in the last 26 seasons.
The Pro Bowl will be played Sunday, January 25, 2015, at University of Phoenix Stadium in Phoenix, Arizona, and will be televised live on ESPN at 8 p.m. (ET). For the second time ever, the Pro Bowl is “unconferenced,” so players were selected without regard to conference by a combined voting of fans, players and coaches.
Roethlisberger has been selected to the Pro Bowl for the third time in his NFL career (2008, ’12, ’15). He has established Steelers single-season franchise records for completions (384) and passing yards (4,635) in 2014, while adding 30 passing touchdowns and a 103.8 passer rating. Roethlisberger has registered a 100.0 or better passer rating in 10-of-15 games in 2014 – a franchise record – and tied for the NFL lead – along with eight 300-yard games. In Week 8, Roethlisberger threw for a single-game franchise record of 522 yards – tying as the fourth-most in NFL history. He set an NFL record for the most passing touchdowns (12) in back-to-back games (Weeks 8-9).

Steelers win game & playoff berth
Final Score: Steelers 20, Chiefs 12
“We are going to move on. We’re going to enjoy this win, but we’re not going to say that we’re a finished product by any means.” — Ben.
The Steelers’ third straight win means they have at least a wildcard play-off spot and will win the AFC North title for the first time since 2010 if they beat the Cincinnati Bengals at Heinz Field next Sunday.
Ben passed for 220 yards, Le’Veon Bell ran in for a one yard touchdown and Shaun Suisham kicked two field goals as Pittsburgh ran out winners.
“I’m not looking past this next game, there’s no way!” — Ben.
Antonio Brown also caught seven passes and scored a touchdown for Pittsburgh, who have won seven out of nine games.

Regios de Acero – the Good Luck Club!
The media isn’t exaggerating when they say that Steelers fans “travel well”. They travel far too!
Roger Saucedo and his Steelers Mexico Fan Club, Regios de Acero, were on the move again….this time it was a 20-hour bus trip to Atlanta to see their beloved Steelers play the Falcons at the Georgia Dome last Sunday.

Why yes, there ARE quite a few Big Ben fans within the Regios de Acero Fan Club!
You may remember, they came to Pittsburgh last year to see the Steelers play at home.
The team won that time…and they won THIS time. Obviously having Regios de Acero in the house, whether at home or on the road, is VERY good luck!
Roger wanted to share the story of their trip to Atlanta with Steeler Nation:
December 11th, Thursday, 7:00 am – 85 people ready to board the buses that take us once again to another NFL stadium to support our team: a 2014 appointment is Atlanta, GA. It would be 20 hours trip from Monterrey, but doesn’t matter because all we wanted is to be in the Georgia Dome waving our Terrible Towels and support the Steelers.
Friday – We finally arrived to our hotel in Atlanta. We were tired but our love for the Steelers is bigger than any fatigue. After resting in the hotel, we went out that evening in our Steelers jerseys to downtown Atlanta. Some went to dinner, others went to a basketball game in the Phillips Arena, but at the same time all together to tell to the Falcons fans: we are here, we are the Steeler Nation!
Saturday morning – After breakfast we went to downtown to visit some places of interest, like the World of Coca Cola, the Aquarium, the Hall of Fame … we had a good time especially because we saw more Steelers fans, and because the local people were surprised to see them too: lot of fans wearing the Steelers jerseys in the territory of Atlanta Falcons.
Sunday, game day! We arrived early at the Georgia Dome area, and we were happy to see that the streets were full of fans wearing black and gold! Inside the stadium we felt proud to see that we were thousands of fans waving Terrible Towels, we are sure that our team feels like home. […]
