Last month both Ben and his teammate Heath Miller were nominees for the 2012 Dapper Dan Sportsman of the Year Award.

Although neither player received the nod, it will be presented to worthy recipient Andrew McCutchen, center fielder for the Pittsburgh Pirates!

There will also be a former Steelers teammate honored at the February 6th ceremony – Hines Ward will receive the Dapper Dan Lifetime Achievement Award! Former Steelers coach Bill Cowher will present Hines with the award at the ceremony.

The 77th Annual Dapper Dan Dinner & Sports Auction, presented by BNY Mellon will be held on February 6th at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center in downtown Pittsburgh.
