FEBRUARY 11TH UPDATE: More players announced for the Chantilly Show!

Ben is scheduled to appear at the Collector’s Showcase of America‘s Chantilly Sports Show held at the Dulles Expo Center in Chantilly, VA on April 1, 2012.

The three-day show (March 30-April 1) will feature autograph sessions with Ben and teammates Antonio Brown, Hines Ward, Mike Wallace, Ryan Clark, Cameron Heyward, and Lawrence Timmons (all on Sunday); Jerome Bettis (Sunday), Rocky Bleier (Sunday); NFL HOF’ers Joe Greene (Sunday), Deion Sanders and Joe Schmidt (both on Saturday); seven-time Pro Bowler Jason Witten (Saturday); Miles Austin (Saturday); Matthew Stafford (Sunday); Sam Bradford (Sunday); NBA Top 50 players Bob Cousy (Saturday) & Dolph Schayes (Saturday); and MLB Rookies of the Year Wally Moon (Sunday) & Albie Pearson (Sunday).

More athletes will be added to the weekend in the coming months.

Ben will be the guest speaker at the Blair County Sports Hall of Fame banquet on April 28, 2012.

The event will take place at the Blair County Convention Center in Altoona, PA.

“With it being our 25th anniversary, we thought it would be appropriate to get a blockbuster name,” Blair Hall president Dave Andrews said. “And we have that with Ben Roethlisberger.”

Mr. Andrews continued, “Ben’s agent went to Hines, and he spoke highly of our event,” Andrews said. “It was something that interested Ben’s agent, and Ben accepted right away. He wanted to speak for an organization that honors student athletes and local sports heroes. We invited him to bring his wife as well.”

Dolphins wide receiver Brandon Marshall caught a Pro Bowl-record four touchdown passes, as the AFC downed the NFC, 59-41, Sunday at Aloha Stadium.

Marshall had six catches for 177 yards — the second-most in Pro Bowl history, earning MVP honors for the effort.

Ben completed 6-of-11 passes for 181 yards and two touchdowns, including a 74-yarder to Dolphins wide receiver Brandon Marshall. Philip Rivers also had a pair of touchdown passes.

Aaron Rodgers and Drew Brees both threw two touchdowns for the NFC.

Panthers rookie Cam Newton, pitted against Dalton for the entire second half, threw two touchdowns but had three interceptions in his Pro Bowl debut. Arizona’s Larry Fitzgerald nearly matched Brandon Marshall, reeling in six passes for 111 yards and three scores in defeat.

Join Ben this summer for some football instruction and fun at his Football Camp for kids, sponsored by ProCamps Worldwide!

The Camp is open to boys and girls, ages 7-14.

Campers will participate in daily games, stations, and skill contests. Each camper will be placed on a team according to his or her age.

Each day, the campers will experience various stations, specializing in fundamental skills of football. Individual groups will be small to assure that each camper gets maximum instruction from the top football coaches in the Pittsburgh area.

Ben will give daily talks highlighting the finer points of the game of football and beyond. Parents and guests will be able to listen to camp guests in designated areas at each location.

Dates: June 18-19, 2012

Place: Seneca Valley High School, Harmony, Pennsylvania

ESPN’s AFC blogger Jameson Hensley interviewed the man who is #1 on the list, Ray Lewis. Mr. Lewis had this to say about his friendship/kinship with Big Ben:

Ben sat down with Fran Charles and Marshall Faulk on the NFL Network set after practice this afternoon for an interview during their AFC Pro Bowl Practice coverage. Some highlights from his interview:


On his second Pro Bowl appearance –

“It’s fun. It’s neat to come out here, it’s an awesome honor and a privilege to be out here with some great players, and guys that you compete with, and to have fun with some of the defensive guys that you get into it with during the season (laughs).”


On his mindset when he gets injured but still comes back on to the field –

“It may sound crazy, but sometimes I shouldn’t come back in the game (smiles), but for me, I want to do it for my guys, my teammates, my brothers. If they’re out there battling through injuries I feel like if I can be out there, I want to be out there. The issue is you walk that fine line with going out there injured and hurting your team or helping your team. I never want to cross that line and hurt the team. Obviously, a lot of those things I put in the coach’s hands to make the final decision because that’s the way it should be. But for me, I just want to be out there for my guys to let them know I’m going to battle through anything with them.”


On whether he continued to play the final regular season games to figure out how he was going to play (with the injury) in the post-season –

“Part of it was definitely that…dealing with that big ankle brace that I wear and how and what are my limitations? What are our limitations as an offense?…Part of it was that and part of it was we were playing for a chance to win the North and get that second seed.”


On losing Bruce Arians as his offensive coordinator –
