And speaking of golf…
Big Ben is swingin’ the clubs for a good cause this week in North Carolina!

Sheetz @sheetz
Getting ready to kick off our #SheetzForTheKidz golf event in Pinehurst, NC! Thanks @_BigBen7 for joining us.
Join Ben, his family and friends!
For just $100, you can buy your way into this exclusive crowdfunding opportunity to play in Ben’s tournament next month. Without crowdfunding, foursomes start at $3,500, so this is a “steel”! There are just 50 available spots!

Top: Golfing with Daddy & Pops! Bottom left:The Golf Channel’s Big Break winner Brian Cooper with Pitt Coach Jamie Dixon. Bottom right: Brett Keisel with Merril Hoge.
The top 12 fundraisers in the BRF Weekend Campaign through crowdfunding & eTeamSponsor will receive a spot in the BRF Weekend activities (one ticket to Triple 7s – an evening of table games, billiards, ping pong, open bar, lite fare and silent auction and one spot in the BRF Invitational Golf Outing on Treesdale Country Club’s Grove and Orchard courses – Ben’s home course).

Ben is ALL over the course: Not only does he play all the pre-tournament games, but he also stops by to play and pose with every group!
*Please note: Triple 7s is a 21 and over event.
Every fan who secures a spot in the BRF Weekend Campaign will receive an autographed photo and BRF Silipint for their non-refundable $100 donation.
The BRF Weekend Campaign is open now through June 1st, so don’t waste valuable time!

Ben clowns around: From posing with Duck Dynasty‘s Uncle Si (okay, so it was only a cardboard cutout!) to jumping in the cart of a couple of surprised golfers to mug for the camera! And it’s all for a great cause!

Hey Steeler Nation?
Remember last summer when you did all that voting for Noah Galloway, one of our favorite Wednesday Warriors, as we tried to make him the cover model for Men’s Health magazine’s November issue….and it worked?
“A big part of my success in the running for the Kenneth Cole’s Mankind and Men’s Health Ultimate Guy Search is owed to the amazing Steeler Nation that supported me all the way. Y’all Got me on the cover of the world’s largest men’s magazine, I can’t thank y’all enough.” – Noah.
Well, it worked again!!
The American Society of Magazine Editors announced today that Noah’s cover is The Best Cover Awards Winner in the “Lifestyle” category:

“Too often magazine covers simply repeat one another, and we’re not just talking about the last ten years of O, here. So when we launched our Ultimate Men’s Health Guy Search last spring, we hoped it would produce a November cover that would be unique, inspirational, and stop readers in their tracks. Meet Noah Galloway, the double-amputee Iraq vet who is our first ever UMHG. In this shot by Peter Yang, he simultaneously broadcasts troubling disability and vibrant health, and instantly commands respect and gratitude. Corporal Galloway, we salute you–and your Men’s Health cover.” — The ASME
And we’re still voting (and rooting) for this Warrior!! He and his dancing partner, Sharna Burgess, have made the Finals on Dancing With the Stars!
Congratulations to Noah all the way around, including his recent engagement to girlfriend Jaime Boyd on Monday night’s DWTS episode!
**Thank you Steeler Nation for your continued support!!
The Ben Roethlisberger Foundation at work
Ben’s foundation approved a grant to the Steubenville, Ohio police department in February of this year.
Today, they showed off their new K9 vehicle, purchased with funds from that grant:

Sara Yingling (WTRF Channel 7) @SYinglingWTRF
With the help of the Ben Roethlisberger Foundation & the Hilltop Assoc., SPD has purchased a new K9 cruiser.
And K9 Pito continues to work hard for the Millersville Police Department. Here he is training with the Tennesse State Police:

“It’s been a great experience working with him.” – Officer Hurst, about his partner.
Would you like to donate to Ben’s foundation? You can do so here!
Working hard in this Spring!
Ben and a few of his teammates were off to Georgia last week for some sun, fun and a little relaxation…at least at first! Then it was down to some serious work at the University of Georgia over the weekend!

It was a pleasure having the @steelers offensive skill group train at our facilities! Talent + Work Ethic on display!
